BACKStORY:

Preserving Analog Photography

Since 2010, Photomatica has been dedicated to the preservation and restoration of vintage photo booths. Our collection showcases the evolution of analog photo booth technology, offering insights into the art and mechanics behind these iconic machines.

Expert Restoration

Every old booth we get our hands on has a story — and we’re all about bringing it back to life. From dusty garages in the Midwest to weird little bars on the East Coast, we find 'em, fix 'em, and make 'em beautiful again.

Our restoration work is a mix of nerdy technical know-how and serious love for analog design. We’re talking rewiring flash units, redoing wood paneling, troubleshooting ancient processors — whatever it takes to get a booth working (and looking) like it did back in the day.

We don’t do this as a service — it’s just part of what we do to keep the analog photo booth world alive and well. The best ones end up in our museums, fully functional and ready to spit out perfect little strips, just like they used to.
